1. When using static power converters, ensure that the amount of THD in the network is within the acceptable international standards by installing the necessary filters.

2. Automation will play a major role in future development of substation design, therefore it is important to consider its impact on system reliability, it is also important to train system operators on such new technology.

3. Stochastic method for operation conditions of substations may be taken in consideration to decide the proper maintenance practices
